Night of Worship: Devoted

If you missed our Night of Worship event recently, you missed out on a great evening of praising God and being encouraged from His Word! Cyrus gave a convicting message challening all of us to puruse God with an undivided heart. If you missed it, you're in luck 'cause I've posted it below (just click "play"). Yes! 29eleven has a blog! In this blogging, texting, tweeting, facebooking society, we thought it appropriate! Get info on upcoming events and challenging resources to help us grow as single adults. Statistics have shown that we are one of the largest and most disconnected groups in the church today. Let's be totally honest, the life of a single can be hard and the pressures of marriage from the church can easily lead to discontentment and mediocrity in our lives. So, let's embrace our singleness and be grateful for an amazing God who alone can satisfy our deepest desires! Let's encourage each other towards community and holiness as we reach out in our church, our work places, and our culture by making an impact for Christ!!

It's been a blessing to see what God has done over the years through 29eleven. When we started up the singles ministry about 4 years ago, I remember sarcastically thinking to myself, "... this should be fun! A group for all 3 of us singles!" Well, God showed us that there was a HUGE need in the body. Today, we not only have a group of more than three people, we have a growing core of singles who enjoy hanging out! God is good!

Our name comes from Jeremiah 29:11, which reminds us that God has great plans for our lives. We are a singles ministry of Mountain View Community Church. We meet regularly for weekly Bible studies and fun activities where we can simply hang, chill, or "kick it" (well, you get the idea!).
